Recently it seems that some Wedding Couples are having what is called "The Married Couples Dance" incorporated into their reception. This dance is a nice addition to the traditional wedding reception.

It starts out with the MC inviting ALL MARRIED COUPLES out onto the dance area. At this time a song chosen by the Bride & Groom is played. As the song begins we ask all the couples married less than a year to please be seated. Throughout the song we go up in years married like 1-4, then 5-9, 10 through 15, then 16-24, then 25. We keep going up in years asking those who are married within the years said to be seated.

At last we come to one couple dancing on the floor. We find out how long they have been married, and give them the microphone and give any words of wisdom to the Bride & Groom on how to make the marriage last as many years as theirs did.

Sometimes the Bride & Groom gives the last couple a gift, such as a bottle of wine or such.

This dance is relatively new and some Wedding Couples have this at their reception and some don't. I am merely providing you with yet another option you have in the planning of your reception.

Below are a list of song that are nice to choose for this type of dance.

1. Through The Years-Kenny Rogers

2. For My Wedding Day-Don Henley

3. I Wanna Love You Forever-Jessica Simpson

4. Endless Love-Lionel Richie

5. When A Man Loves A Woman-Michael Bolton

6. The Power Of Love-Celine Dion

7. True Companion-Marc Cohen

8. You're Still The One-Shania Twain
